Levonelle One Step - 1 Tablet

Levonelle One Step – 1 Tablet

£22.85

The availability of Levonelle One-Step from Pharmacy2U is strictly for the purposes of an advance supply , with a maximum order quantity of 1 pack, so that you can have a pack in hand in case it’s needed at a later date; for example, if you are travelling abroad and wish to plan for the possibility of a contraceptive failure. It should not be used as a regular method of contraception, and it is not available from Pharmacy2U if you have already had unprotected sex and need an emergency contraceptive now. If that is the case, you should at your earliest opportunity contact your local pharmacist or doctor, or visit your local NHS Walk-in Centre, Family Planning service, or other local service. If you are not sure what services are available in your area, call NHS Direct on 0845 46 47. If you are not in the UK, talk to your local pharmacist or doctor. Please read all of the warnings and other information on this website about the product before continuing. Call us on 0845 803 9033 if you have any questions before ordering. Levonelle One Step is an emergency contraceptive that can be used after unprotected sex or where a contraceptive method has not worked. This contraception is often called the ‘morning after pill’. Each pack of Levonelle One Step contains a complete treatment. Levonelle One Step prevents about 84% of expected pregnancies when it is taken within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected sex. Levonelle One Step will not prevent a pregnancy in every instance, but the tablet is more effective the sooner after unprotected sex it is taken ( iedally take it within 12 hours rather than delay until the third day). Levonelle One Step is thought to work by- stopping your ovaries from releasing an egg, prevents sperm from fertilising any egg you may have already released or stopping a fertilised egg from attaching itself to your womb. Levonelle One Step stops a pregnancy before it is established. It does not work if you are already pregnant. This medicine will not protect you against sexually transmitted diseases, only condoms can do this. Ask your doctor, nurse, family planning clinic or pharmacist for advice if you are worried about this. Possible side effects- you might feel sick for a short time after taking the medicine, you might actually be sick (vomit), your period might be different, you may also have some irregular bleeding or spotting until your next period. If your period is more than 5 days late or is unusually light you should contact your doctor, you might have tender breasts, headaches, lower abdominal pain, diarrhoea, feel dizzy or feel tired after taking this medicine.
